​Sammie Piel

Bio: Sammie Piel is a junior theatre major in her 6th year at Denver School of the Arts. She has loved theatre for as long as she can remember, and is always reminded by her family of the little shows she would put on in the kitchen, demanding everyones attention. Some of her favorite Credits include Kin, Veronicas Room, Hairspray and Incident At Vichy. She has also enjoyed her variety of training at DSA including; Clowning, Grotowski, Uta Hagen, Script Writing, Basic Dance and IPA. Sammie is also extrememly interested in the directing field of theatre. She hopes to pursue theatre for as long as humanly possible.

 

Outside of theatre, Sammie is an avid reader and has probably read To Kill a Mockingbird upwards of 7 times. She enjoys hanging out with her friends and adventuring around town. She also enjoys dancing whetther it be in class or at home, as well as yoga. She likes reading articles on the internet and getting way too involved in social justice issues, in fact she wants to study Theatre as a Social Voice in her future theatre studies. She loves socializing, and sometimes unneccesarily smiling and waving at strangers... but is always there with a friendly face. If you were to catch Sammie at any random moment she would most likely be drinking tea, and watching Pretty Little Liars with her Cat.
